New Year brings New Beginnings

I absolutely love how this year started.
Ended 2010 and kicked started this year with a family reunion. How awesome was our family reunion :) I met some new cousins, from Phillipines, Tonga, America, Australia and even in the country I live in...crazy how i havent seen em...Well, this year is different from last year....No more dancing for me, i chose books over beats! Hopefully by the end of this year I get into Uni :)

these are the lyrics to the most inspiring song for me. Dear Mr President by P!nk. I absolutely love that song. Let me tell you why. Just tonight this song played on my iPod and thats when it hit me. I'm gonna help people after school. I thought I wanted to be a doctor. Nah nah nah, I want to be out there in Nigeria, Pakistan helping children. Children in poverty, children who are suffering from Malnutrition. Help everyone but especially children. I don't get how you can hear about the flood in Pakistan and say "they deserved it. They decided to bomb the world, its karma." How???? How can you say that?!??!!!! Im bewildered because someone close to me said that and I am just.....Confused? How can someone feel such bitterness towards another. Another NATION! I can just imagine how we all would feel if our own countries were suffering. Just think about it...people right now in the world who have names, loved by a Mother, and guided by a father, are having to walk hundreds of kilometres just to get to safety. Some, walk that far just to see another human being, and that puts a smile on their face. In the end it doesn't matter if your black and Im white, if you have the coolest timberlands, if you bring $10 for lunch and I don't have lunch money, in the end it doesn't matter whether your mum let you go out with your friends to watch Eclipse. What matters, is that we are all human beings and at the end of the day we are brothers and sisters on this Earth that our Lord, God has blessed us with. He loves us, and expects us to love one another as much as we love ourselves (cos we all know we love ourselves lol) if you have a fridge, a roof over your head, and clean water to drink. Consider yourself wealthier than a lot of people in countries such as Sri Lanka and Papua New Guinea. okay...It all began around January-ish.

Auditioned for a new and upcoming crew: Sorority dance crew. I didnt ever think I'd end up going to worlds.

I never thought I'd improve this much. But most of all, I never thought that New Zealand Hip Hop was this ugly?

Here I am, meeting and greeting, mixing and mingling; at least trying to. Try being surrounded with soo many people, people you dont even know but HAVE to stay in the same room with. That sounds easy enough, but its not when they give you the cold shoulder. You get those fake Hi's and kisses.... I can see right through you like a glass window.

At rego's it was the worst =( But now realize that hateration is there COLD and HARD. In the end we have only each other so why bother? Why face the world when we can't even face each other?
How can you call yourself a kiwi, and not love the other kiwi standing right in front of you?
That is messed up. YOU NEED A REALITY CHECK CUZ!

EFY STORIES lol

ayt EFY was the shizzz! I mean, brooo i loved it all, from tuesday onewards ; SUS being real people, the first day wasnt all that great. lol sus wanna say that EFY changed me... Yes, all the scripture readings, morningsides, devotionals yeah it got to me. AND i dont know anyone who it hasnt touched. I love the efy program, and would go to efy again in a heart beat (shot teone docks:L) but i really would. I love my company so much. I would do anything for them (kinda overboard, but i would!:L) we grew together. The boys entered those College gates as boys, left as GENTLEMEN yeah they did (thanks teone again lol) and the girls, they were soo awesome, except for Jordan. Jokes :DD she was the best. all K SQUAD girls ran it :D love them so much and i know they are going to be great future leaders! I truly do see Bishops and Stake presidents, and Relief society leaders in our squad.... And we all helped eachother thru the 5 days. Shared laughs, hardship (makin blankets:L) and tears. The tears if your wondering, we didnt fight or jack, we all bore our testimony (weell most of us) and most if not all cried. Yeah i cried too. Sheesh. Standing in front of my company, all i had to say was The first day....AND THE TEARS CAME POURING DOWN. hahahaha! like broo, can you not?! I dont know, but i couldnt stop it. Yeah EFY does that to ya! oh and the last day, when i hugged everyone, i cried. They made me cry lolol. Then i cried again!!!!! when i was leaving. But im so proud and thankful for the boyz for holding my "wardrobe" and taking it to my car lol. It was mega heavy, so yeah thanks boys! Bro and mountain, thanks for holding my heavy as bag ay at the workshops. Oi and Room 17 Ladies =) yeah you know i love you girls, and our lil late night talks hahahaha. bro that Danny lady lost it ay, that was cracked hahaha "want help cleaning the kitchen?" and we all go and clean the kitchen like at midnight. Nice one haha. Broo who would'ah thought that a girl like me, could live a life without ashlynnnnnneeeeeee. well we saw eachother - but hardly lol. Mann im glad we werent in the same companies except for why me and her were in the same one.. Lucky? lol =) yeah cos im glad i got to know other people. Like my coool company. Broo Sariah, she is a superstar in prep broo! Mean pipes lil mama =) you better remember us ay when you get all famous and all. =) hmm.. and can we not have the biggest clown ever!? Sione.. This niggah's like up there with all his jokes hahaha. And tooo funny, is it Harry or Junior? hahahaha, and yeah guys!! I know LIKI... Wohooo, hes in my company! Lucky me haha. Emma babe, goodluck for you ;o lol. Cody, GO FOR ITTTT! You can do it, lol CRE8 whaat. This dudes gonna be big and famous too, with CRE8 dance crew, so watch out! Aw and we were totally honoured to have Veronica bear her testimopny... To those who dont know, Veronica is a non member... And she has a testimony of the gospel! Guys, shes showing us up lol. Nah i think our company stepped up hard at the testimony bearing!! Thanks Terina for playing the violin. I loved the piece :D and finally (ill end my novel) lol , BIG UPS to the councillors cos i dont think we'd all be this way without them.. B.B, Terina and clemens. ANNDDD last but not least. Fake Rolex. Oooh yeah! =)

UPDATES lol.

SORRY noodles I haven't posted in ages. I just got "home", from two camps. Lifes awesome... Just some updates... I'm in a dance crew now =D so im SUPER waaay excited. We're made of 8 girls and 1 boy.. =) we may as well be 9 girls cos Shak can be a sexy mama when he vogues YO! So yeap WELCOME SORORITY to the Royal Family... =) Im pretty much loving it already...

But first of all! I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my moving to AO. AO up'd my game in dance hardout! Big ups to my dance teacher who is more than a teacher at most times... Shes one of the docks! =) Miss Waters, and Miss Webster too ay.. Gotta love the white chicks. =) and also to Lankey who kinda started it ay in church lol... Then Moni, Shalom, Cilla hardout lke pushed me into it. And I cant forget the AO bring it on crews in 08 and 09... We all helped each other out!! They helped me loads as well. x I wouldnt be a dancer a good one if it wasn't for these people!!

And last but not least, my parents! Broo they can like give it to me when im being the meanest egg, but they took me to the audition, support me when they like, and sacrifice lots for me to make it to these shows and etc. So thank you mum and dad; i love you

being Mormon is easy .... The world is hard

At school everyone knows the "Mormons" you know, cos we're different. Everybody asks the usual questions "why don't you drink tea or coffee?" "I heard you guys aren't allowed to shop on Sunday" and we get this A LOT "Is Joseph Smith your God? I heard you guys worship him...." Okay first of all... Don't listen to rumors! Because they're most likely false. Yeah, we get asked questions all the time! And it hurts. A lot of whats going on hurts... But I can tell you one thing. One thing that truly hurts. Is that they don't know the answers to these questions. Being one of the many people who are members in the world, temptation hits all the time. Like theres no tomorrow! Gordon B. Hinkley once described when being interviewed on an American show, as "being Mormon is Wonderful". And he is RIGHT. There may be lots of rules and guidelines but these aren't rocket science. Its simple things like get enough sleep, wear appropriate clothing. If you ask me.... Being Mormon is easy. The world is hard!

NEWSFLASH PEOPLE! It's a crime.

I was watching an ep of Tyra a few weeks ago about this new thing called 'sexting'. Yeah the name says it all. Like broo, can this world be any more corrupt! I know a lot of people in my school do it. And it's just NASTY! I mean, isn't it embarrassing texting messages that are filthy like that? Have you no respect for yourselves!? Girls, you don't need to sext to 'feel loved'. Guys saying 'you look hot', WHATEVER! Theyre just saying that so they could get in your pants. It disgusts me, that girls sext. In the end our integrity and our virtue is all we have! I can't stress that enough... If your doing this, did you know if you are under the age of 16 and is sexting a person who is over the age of 16 that that is a CRIME! Yes it is... If you don'tbelieve me, than your ignorance will teach you something!
And broo! Give it up and find something real. AND get over yourself!

Three most deadly words.

"I LOVE YOU" its everywhere. I hear it when im with my friends, family. But what does it mean when someone says it to their partner? I thought it was something you said to someone you cared a lot about say for instance my mum. "I love you mum!" The three words have been abused, and has lost it's value and meaning. It seems that a couple who have dated for a week is in LOVE. I don't LOVE but I do know that it isn't what we teens should be thinking about... Ever heard skating on thin ice? That's what "love" is like. It's kind of like a dead end... We're young. Why limit yourselves to ONE person when you could just enjoy and grow? I don't understand how people can say they're in "love" when they've only known the person for a little while? I mean, if that's what they say, does that mean they can fall in love with just anyone within a good week. This all just confuses me? Just stay out of it, I reckon. PLUS the good thing about being single is that you get to miiiingle. ha ha!

CHANGES POWER RANGERS '

I just bought a new toothbrush and I realized how bad my toothbrush (Ive been using it for a long while now) was. In saying that, you don't know how bad your toothbrush is until you buy a new one. ha ha. So anyway, I pondered about this, and it gave me some inspiration... You don't know how bad a life your living until you CHANGE. Most of my peers wouldn't have a clue that I use to be a very naughty girl when I was in intermediate and in my early years of high school. You know, thats what hanging with the wrong crowd does to you. It wasn't 'til I REALIZED how insensitive, and immature I was being. The change of schools told me I had to GROW UP. That didn't make me happy. But I found a passion for dance. The CHANGE didn't only make me better, but it gave me knowledge. I'm a complete different person now, hanging around my youth from church did me good too! That would be a CHANGE of 'crowd' - not being surrounded by those who influence me in a bad way. Anyways this isn't about me, its about YOU. If this sounds a little like you then listen up... There are three main things that contribute to CHANGE.
1) environment (thats the influence). It could be easily as change your lifestyle. If you always go parties, and drink and such you should stop because its VERY hard to go and not DRINK. Or maybe the sort of friends you hang out with need a little tweeking.
2) attitude. I know this sounds easy, but its SO HARD! usually it requires you to be HUMBLE. Yeah i know heaps of us say "aw that dude cool, he's humble!" but really... That word has lost its meaning and importance as we use it so much in society.
3) YOURSELF. The only thing that's stopping YOU from progressing in life, is YOU. Simple as that!

And so there you have it. These helped me when I needed to be BETTER than I was... I hope it works for you.

Life

It took me a while to think about what to Blog. But what I didn't see what was right in front of me... LIFE. Life in NZ is pretty simple. Wake up, open the fridge and theres food. Open the cupboards and there it is again, food. After breakfast, cleaning up isn't as complicated either. Turn the tap thingy and water comes out. Turn it a little to the left, and the clean water runs through my fingers. Once I brush my teeth, and wash my face, its time to spend a life time looking for "something" to wear. Do we all think about our wardrobes full of how many clothes like this? That everyday we wake up and although our wardrobes are overloading with clothes, we still do not know what to wear? Is something as simple as Jeans and a t-shirt too much? Children in Africa deserve what we have. Throughout my years, I have had my fair share of being the "whiny inconsiderate person". It's time we CHANGE. We must, in order to progress. Simply thinking about those who are suffering from severe poverty in Africa, India, Brazil, The Philippines - ALL OVER THE WORLD, is not enough. We NEEEEEED to do what we can so that this world can smile at us, when we smile at it. Start appreciating what you got. It is Christmas, and the fancy stuff that you used to get when you were young isn't going to cut it anymore right? I bet you want the Nikon camera, or a laptop. Remember that time with your family than the next Greenday concert. Your family is God's gift to you. Time with them, is your gift to God. Love your family, and have an Attitude of Gratitude. For this is the season to "give". I don't recall it being "the season to RECIEVE" huh?
